Paris…the city of lights and city of love. My absolute favorite place in the whole world. A magical fairytale alive in the 21st century. I have been there twice and I’ve already planned my third visit(can’t wait)! Here’s twenty things to do,visit and eat in Paris!
Arc de Triomphe : is a small museum. After you get your breath back from climbing the hundreds of steps to the top you will experience a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.
Luxembourg Park: is the perfect place to take a break and relax. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book.
Versailles (of course) : is the most luxurious and historic palace in all of France. It’s a thirty minutes out of Paris with the train. It will take a full day of your trip so if you have limited time in Paris skip this attraction and go back another time.
Sacré-Cœur : is the highest point in the city. As soon you complete the 300 steps to the top the view is one of the best in all of Paris. You can also have a picnic there and enjoy your meal in front of Sacré-Cœur.
Notre-Dame cathedral : is propably the most well-known cathedral in the entire world. Beautiful located next to the Seine.
Louvre : one of the world’s lagest museums. Housing nearly 35.000 objects from pre-history to 19th century. The most visited art museum in the entire world. To put it simply there is no way you can see all the Louvre in one visit.
Eiffel Tower : As it is without a boupt the most famous attraction in all of Paris it is also the most populated especially on the weekends.
Bateaux Monches: One great way to experience Paris is by taking a boat tour. The best time to enjoy your cruise on the Seine is at night.
Moulin Rouge : is one of the most famous cabares in Paris and the birth place of can-can dance
Centre Pompidou: If you like something a bit more modern, the Centre Pompidou is another brilliant art gallery featuring a wide range of modern art movements from Cubism to Fauvism, and everything in between.
Berthillon : has the best icecream in all of Paris.
Brasserie Barbes : in brasserie Barbes you will find super healthy salads and juices.
Café de Flore : of course you will have to visit café de Flore. The most famous café in Paris since 1865. Café de Flore was a popular hub of famous writers and philosophers back then.
Hotel Costes : visit hotel Costes to try their super famous cheesecake
Ladurée : is a French luxury bakery and sweets maker house created in 1862. It is the world’s best-known premier sellers of the double-decker macaron, fifteen thousand of which are sold every day.
Le Relais de l’Entrecote : they serve only steak and fries toped with their secret sauce. As soon as you arrive they will ask you only two things, first “how do you like your steak?” and second “what would you like to drink?”.
Now these are some of the parisian specialties you can find anywhere in town ! You can’t leave paris without trying at least on bite of each.
First of all croissant of course! And we continue with mille-fenille,crepes and last but not least (my favorite) éclair. Bon Appétit!!!
PS: I think the best way to explore Paris is by foot. 🙂
